The RPR Induction System is widely used across the marine industry, including vessels, marine infrastructure, and wharves, for the removal of thick, and often hazardous coatings from Epoxy systems, anti-skid systems, thick hull coatings (including icebreakers), ship decks, helidecks, fire protective coatings (PFP), and more. The versatility of RPR across a wide range of coating types and thicknesses makes it one of the most capable solutions available for marine maintenance and refurbishment projects.
Unlike grit blasting or ultra-high pressure (UHP) water jetting, RPR induction produces no secondary waste media, eliminating the need to transport, process, or dispose of grit or contaminated water. reducing environmental risk, Coatings are cleanly released in strips or sections that can be collected directly into waste bags, with no risk of contamination to air, water, or the surrounding marine environment.
Importantly, coating removal can be carried out even at sea or on operational marine assets without disrupting normal vessel operations, inspections, or other maintenance activities. With a working radius of up to 100 metres from the main unit, the system provides excellent flexibility for efficiently covering large surface areas. RPR’s patented safety features prevent overheating of the steel substrate, and the system is approved for use on a case by case approval for live oil and gas pipelines, demonstrating its high level of precision and safety.

HIGHER STRIPPING RATES
Engineered with various induction heads for challenging geometry steel sections, rivets encountered on many Steel bridge structures
MINIMISED WASTE DISPOSAL
No grit or water media added, eliminating the need for transport and disposal.
ENVIRONMENT
75% less energy consumption with zero grit or water deposits left behind.
OPERATOR FRIENDLY
Safe, quiet, and low-dust operation with minimal protective gear required.
FLEXIBLE REACH
Low-noise, low-dust process lets other trades work safely in parallel, reducing asset outage time.
Resulting from a project called Green Tank, co-funded by the European Commission; RPR Technologies now offers optimized solutions for coatings removal in storage tanks. Combining a patented induction technology and elements of semi-automatic platforms, the RPR Induction Coatings Removal System has proven to be twice as efficient as other methods.
Mounted to an electric trolley with vertical support, the system is ideal for removal of difficult coatings on tank floors and the lower wall section, securing a consistent result and alleviating workload for the operators. After heating the coating is scraped off in stripes that is easily collected and transported for disposal, offering considerable environmental savings in logistics and waste handling.
